What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
Before starting the course i was completely alien to photoshop, flickr and blogger. But as the time progressed and i got further into the course i adapted to them and developed some skills.
Photoshop; with photoshop you could say anything is possible on it which attracted me to do more. At first i learnt the basics off the colleges intranet then left it to experimenting for a while learning how to change the different artificial lighting on my photo's, how to use the magic wand tool to allow surreal images to look real, as well as that the challenge of layering things and making your product look good.
Blogger; at first i hated blogger, because id would rather write out my work then type it up on a computer then upload it to a blogging system which i could never remember the user name or password for, in fact i still hold a dislike to it because it far more complex than what it needs to be, sometimes images wouldn't upload, you can't attach word document to a new post nor can you make your posts attractive at all, well except from changing the font colour. But i had to come to terms with it.
Flickr; i love and hate flickr, so il start on the bads and end with the goods. Flickr's adding a note is such a pain because on some services like mozilla the notes couldn't save and there would be several errors on a page which led to all the notes being added to the image would be lost which happened to nearly everyone in my class resulting in frustration, but how easy it is to get your eventually annotated images onto blogger at the click of a button, well maybe 3 but the point still stands. Another enjoyable experience with flickr was its simplicity, i was so easy to use and even someone new to it, like me could use it easily.
